AI agents for business

Artificial intelligence (AI) agent development

An AI agent is an AI-powered program that reads incoming emails and documents, pulls out the data you need and, following your rules, enters it into your CRM or Sheets or drafts a reply in Gmail. I build these agents for Lithuanian companies with 5–50 employees: from €450, live in 1–2 weeks, no coding on your side. Unclear cases are handed over to you.

Context

Why businesses are investing in AI agents. 2025–2026

According to the McKinsey Global Survey on AI (2024), 65% of companies already use generative AI in at least one business function, nearly double the figure a year earlier. According to Eurostat, about 13.5% of EU companies with 10 or more employees used AI technologies in 2024, up from about 8% in 2023. Small businesses are catching up fast.

The practical reason is simple: building AI agents for a small Lithuanian business no longer requires big IT budgets or a hired development team. Today's solutions launch in 1–2 weeks and work straight away with the systems you already have: Gmail, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Google Sheets, MailerLite. The question is no longer "can we afford an AI agent?" but "which process should we automate first to see the return soonest?". You will find concrete calculations and examples in the article on process automation ROI and cost, and where to start in the article on process automation in Lithuania.

Pricing 2026

How much does it cost to build an AI agent for a business?

Short answer: a simple AI agent costs from €450 with me, the most common agent with a CRM or email integration costs €700–2,500, and a complex multi-system agent with memory starts at €3,000. This is a one-off fee; on top of it come AI model usage (usually €5–30/month for a small business) and, if needed, support from €150/month.

AI agent development prices in 2026
AgentWhat it doesPriceTimeline
Simple agent1 process, 1–2 integrations (e.g. Gmail → Google Sheets)€450–9001–2 weeks
Reporting agentCollects data from your CRM and spreadsheets, writes a summary, sends it on a schedulefrom €6001–2 weeks
CRM and enquiry agentReads an enquiry, assesses it, enters it into Pipedrive or HubSpot, assigns a salesperson€700–2,5002–3 weeks
Document agentExtracts data from PDF invoices and contracts, enters it into accounting, flags exceptionsfrom €8002–3 weeks
Customer service agentClassifies emails, drafts replies from your data, hands complex cases to a personfrom €9002–4 weeks
Multi-system agent4 or more integrations, memory, multi-step decisionsfrom €3,0004–6 weeks

What drives the price: the number of integrations, how many decisions the agent makes on its own (and how many exceptions need to be described), whether it works with unstructured documents, and how much testing with real data is needed. In the Lithuanian market in October 2026, publicly listed prices for AI agent development started at roughly €500–1,500, while multi-step agents with ERP integrations were priced at €5,000 and up. You can estimate the payback with the AI agent ROI calculator, and all prices are on the pricing page.

Fit

When is it worth building an AI agent?

01Routine

Too much time on routine tasks

When a lot of time goes into emails, repetitive updates or manual tracking. An agent does this consistently, around the clock.

02Complex logic

Rules that are hard to write down

When a decision depends on context, customer history or several data sources.

03Integrations

Several disconnected systems

If your data is scattered across separate systems, the agent connects and syncs them.

04Outcome

Less manual work, faster response

After the first phase there are fewer manual steps, customers get answers sooner, and the process becomes clear. We estimate how much time you will save during the audit.

How we work

How AI agent development works with Aigentas

  1. 1

    free discussion

    Discovery: identifying the process

The free initial discussion has one goal: to understand where your team spends the most time on manual work. It is often not where you think: the "time thief" turns up not in the manager’s work but in a salesperson’s or project manager’s. You describe the process in a message, I reply by email, and if I need details we arrange a call. Once the scope is clear, you get a proposal with the price, timeline and a plain-language description of how the agent will work.
  2. 2

    3–5 working days

    Prototype: designing the agent logic

I write down the agent’s decision logic: when it triggers, what it checks, when it hands over to a person and where it stops. This is not a technical diagram but an "instruction sheet" in business language that you approve or correct before the build, which avoids rework. A lot of attention goes to edge cases: what happens if a form is incomplete, a CRM field is empty or an email arrives at night.
  3. 3

    1–4 weeks

    Implementation: integration

The agent is connected to your systems through secure OAuth access, so you do not need to share passwords: Gmail and Google Workspace, Pipedrive, HubSpot or Bitrix24, Google Sheets and Excel Online, MailerLite, Slack or Microsoft Teams, Paysera or Stripe. If you use a specific Lithuanian or Baltic system with an API, it can usually be connected too.
  4. 4

    Testing with real data

Before launch, the agent is tested with your real data. I check at least 20 scenarios: the typical case, edge cases (empty field, wrong format, duplicate) and error cases (system unavailable). It only goes live once every test passes. If something fails, the agent retries and then notifies the person in charge instead of silently stopping.
  5. 5

    First 30 days and beyond

    Maintenance: monitoring and handover

For the first 30 days after launch I monitor the agent’s logs myself and fix things promptly if an API changes or new cases appear. I hand over a written guide: how the agent works, where the settings are, what to do if it stops. After a 60–90 minute training session you change rules, recipients and templates yourselves or with a support plan.

Examples

AI agent development for small and mid-size businesses: examples

Three typical scenarios Lithuanian companies ask about. These are illustrative examples, not specific client cases: the figures show how the benefit is estimated, and for your case we calculate them during the audit.

01 · CRM agent

E-commerce company: enquiries from several channels into Pipedrive

Situation

Every day, salespeople manually move enquiries from Shopify, Facebook forms and the website into Pipedrive. One enquiry takes 5–8 minutes, adding up to several hours a day.

Solution

The agent checks every new enquiry, identifies the source and product category, fills in missing fields from the email, assigns a salesperson and sends a Slack notification with context. Duplicates are detected and merged.

Expected effect

Salespeople no longer enter enquiries by hand, and the response to an enquiry is much faster. An agent like this usually costs €900–1,500.

02 · Customer service

Service company: replies to recurring customer emails

Situation

Dozens of emails land in the shared inbox every day: questions about lead times, requests for invoice copies, warranty questions. The administrator keeps answering the same questions and looking up information in several places.

Solution

The agent reads the email, identifies the topic and drafts a reply based on your rules and order data. Complaints and non-standard requests are flagged and left for a person.

Expected effect

The administrator reviews and sends the prepared replies, leaving more time for complex cases.

03 · Invoice agent

Logistics company: invoices from email into accounting

Situation

Every day, the accountant manually moves invoices from email into the accounting software, checks VAT codes and flags late payments.

Solution

The agent reads PDF invoices from Gmail, extracts the supplier, amount, date and number, checks the VAT code, enters it into accounting and sends a weekly payment summary.

Expected effect

The accountant checks the exceptions instead of retyping every invoice, with far fewer copy errors. More about the tools in the Google Workspace for business guide.

Who builds them

Who builds AI agents for businesses in Lithuania?

AI agents for Lithuanian companies are built by three types of providers: independent AI automation engineers (quick start, lower price, agents in your existing tools), AI agencies (a team, often bundled with a website, chatbot or voice agent) and software developers and ERP integrators (custom systems, longer and more expensive projects).

Aigentas.lt is me, an engineer based in Vilnius who builds AI agents, AI solutions and system integrations. I build AI agents for companies with 5–50 employees across Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and elsewhere): the agents run in your Gmail, Outlook, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Google Sheets or Slack accounts, use OpenAI or Anthropic Claude models, and the workflows are built in n8n or Make. A first agent starts at €450, with a fixed price in writing before work starts and launch in 1–2 weeks. I work remotely, or we can meet in Vilnius.

When choosing a developer, ask: is the price fixed in writing, where will the agent and data live (your accounts or the provider’s), how does the agent behave when it is not sure (does it hand over to a person), how is it tested before launch, and what does monthly usage cost. For more on what AI agents are and how they differ from regular automation, see the AI agents overview.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Didn’t find your question? Write to info@aigentas.lt and I’ll reply within 1 business day.

What is an AI agent?

An AI agent is a program built on a large language model (such as OpenAI GPT or Anthropic Claude) that does more than answer a question: it carries out the task itself. It reads an email or a document, decides what to do based on your rules and takes action in your systems: it adds a record to the CRM, fills in a spreadsheet or drafts a reply. Simple automation follows a fixed "if A, then B" rule, while an agent can interpret unstructured information, so it fits work where every case is a little different. A good agent hands unclear cases over to a person.

How much does it cost to build an AI agent for a business?

Aigentas builds AI agents from €450. A simple agent (1 process, 1–2 integrations with Gmail or Google Sheets) costs €450–900. An agent with a CRM, email and several decision points costs €700–2,500. Complex agents with 4 or more integrations and memory start at €3,000. AI model usage is paid separately and for a small business usually comes to €5–30/month. I give you a fixed price in writing before work starts, once the scope is clear.

Who builds AI agents for businesses in Lithuania?

In Lithuania, AI agents are built by independent AI automation engineers, AI agencies, and software developers and ERP integrators. I am an engineer based in Vilnius who builds AI agents, AI solutions and system integrations. Under the Aigentas.lt name I work with companies of 5–50 employees across Lithuania: the agents run in your Gmail, CRM and Google Sheets accounts, prices start at €450 and launch takes 1–2 weeks.

How long does it take to build an AI agent, from the first conversation to launch?

From the first consultation to a working agent: a simple agent (1 process) takes 1–2 weeks. A mid-size agent with 3 integrations takes 3–4 weeks. A complex multi-step agent takes 4–6 weeks. The most common cause of delay is waiting for access to systems, not the technical work. Once all access is granted, the build itself usually takes 3–5 working days.

Is AI agent development a good fit for small businesses in Lithuania?

Yes. Companies with 5–50 employees are my main clients. Small businesses often see the benefit faster because they automate processes that have so far been fully manual and untouched by IT. You do not need an in-house development team or technical knowledge: I handle all the building, integrations and testing, and you work with a result that already runs.

What can an AI agent automate in my business?

The five most commonly automated areas: (1) collecting new enquiries from your website, email and social media and entering them into the CRM; (2) generating weekly and monthly reports from Google Sheets, Pipedrive or HubSpot; (3) classifying customer service requests and sending standard replies; (4) tracking invoice and payment status and escalating late payments; (5) internal notifications about important business events in a Slack or Teams channel.

How is an AI agent different from RPA (robotic process automation)?

RPA mimics mouse clicks on a screen and suits strictly structured system workflows, but it breaks when buttons move or screen layouts change. An AI agent understands unstructured content (emails, PDFs, free-form requests) and can make decisions based on context. For a small business without an IT team, an AI agent is usually the more practical and easier-to-maintain choice, because you do not have to keep fixing screen scripts.

Do I need technical knowledge or coding skills?

No. I handle all the technical work: the agent logic, integrations, testing and launch. Your team only sees the result: an updated CRM record, a sent email, a new row in Google Sheets. If you like, I can show you how to monitor what the agent does, but that is optional.

How is an AI agent different from a regular chatbot?

A chatbot replies to messages: it talks. An AI agent acts: it reads, decides, updates systems and triggers other processes. A chatbot suits customer service; an AI agent suits internal work (sorting enquiries, updating the CRM, preparing reports).

Is my customer and business data safe?

Yes. The agent works in your own accounts (Google Workspace, Pipedrive, HubSpot and so on), so the data stays where it already is. I use OAuth access with minimal permissions, and you do not need to share any passwords. If we work with personal data, I prepare a GDPR compliance annex to the contract.

Which systems can an AI agent be integrated with?

I most often connect to Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Bitrix24, Google Sheets, Excel Online, Notion, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Facebook forms, Stripe, Paysera, MailerLite, Asana and Trello. If your system has an API or works through n8n, Make or Zapier, it can be connected as well.

How does a project start? What do you need from me?

We start with your message: you describe the process that takes up the most time, and I reply by email. If needed, we arrange a call. Once it is clear what the agent should do, I send you a proposal with the price, timeline and a description of how the agent will work. From you I need access to the systems we will connect and one person in charge.

Will we be able to manage the agent ourselves after launch?

Yes. After launch I hand over a written guide (how the agent works, where its settings are, how to change the rules) and train your team. You will be able to make the main changes yourselves: new rules, extra recipients, new templates.

How does the cost of an AI agent compare with process automation?

An AI agent does not just follow rules; it makes decisions: it understands a free-form email, a PDF or a customer question. That means more time goes into decision logic, testing edge cases and safeguards (when the agent hands over to a person). As a result, an AI agent of the same scope usually costs a bit more than rule-based automation, and AI model usage adds to the monthly costs (usually €5–30/month).
